Do you dream about EntreCard?

Do you have strange dreams? Have you ever dreamed about EntreCard?
I have.
I dreamed that the current owners had found a way to make money from EntreCard without having to sell 15% of the impressions to third party advertising.
I dreamed that there was a credit exchange system that people could sell their credits into a weekly pool and people could buy from that pool. Supply and demand would set pricing, not a "buy credits" page.
EntreCard has the potential to be great as it is a great, free, platform for bloggers to promote themselves & increase traffic. EntreCard used to have an interesting community where people would log on just to hang out with other like minded bloggers. The EntreCard blog was frequently updated with loads of new ideas & systems coming out. Some good and some not so good.
Anyone remember SezWho?
Adgitize & CMF ads have both come along later and don't have that "something special" to knock off EC just yet.
CMF has no system to reward active bloggers, doesn't have effective metrics to help you determine what a spot shout be worth and charges you heavily (50%) if you attempt to cash out.
Adgitize rewards activity but doesn't allow you to choose where your ads go, they just go into rotation with everyone else for a fixed $28 per month.
Both reward established blogs with incoming traffic while providing little benefit to a new blog. You could pay real money for ads, but how many first time bloggers are going to do that? EntreCard is the only advertising network that allows you to get into promoting your blog without forcing you to part with any cash and yet immediately increase traffic to your blog.
My October traffic report is more than enough proof of this. November is already set to be even better!
Could EntreCard be better? YES!
Could any blogger promote their blog more effectively, for free, anywhere else? NO!
And that is why I continue to remain a part of the EntreCard network.
How about you? Are you happy with your results on EntreCard? How do you think it could be better?

Hi, I wonder if EC is still denying cash outs for credits?

@Workplace on the Web:
there is no more cash out since a few months, so they don't have to deny it anymore :)
@jDonuts:
EntreCard is not FREE traffic, you have to spent time (for dropping 300 cards up to 2 hours), if you calculate 2 hours with $$ it would be more than 10$ that you loose if you could work in that time.
Do you have to spent Time in CMF Ads to get visitors?
No, you can wait until you get yourself $$ into your account to buy ads on other blogs or you can pour $$ into the CMF economy to get immediately access to cheap advertisement.
Do you have to spent time in Adgitize to get visitors?
Only if you want to get a cash rebate for your paid ad (by the way it's just 24$ - not 28$ like you wrote -).
Otherwise just pay the 24$ and let around 80 visitors daily come to your blog on Auto-Pilot
That's for today, perhaps more ideas tomorrow!
Lucky you, saw that you made advertisement on the blog of the first real sponsored ad (Digital Apple Juice). How many clicks did you get from that ad?
@Workplace
Yep, it's been over for a while now.
@cornyman
It's free in the fact that I didn't have to pay money to get it. Sure it takes time to earn the credits, but that doesn't take me long to do.
If I am going to earn before I advertise, I'd rather use ProjectWonderful and have access to a larger range of sites to spend my earned money.
If I want an extra 80 visitors a day, I will get my pages on StumbleUpon and get 80-10,000 visitors in one day for free.
I recieved 43 clicks from that site, pretty good for a 16 ec payment!
Okay, in this case you should read Eli's comment on the new Adgitize blog post where he compares the effectiveness of Project Wonderful, CMF Ads and Adgitize as he advertises there already for several months for more than 60$.
Stumble upon can give you a traffic surge but not necessary for the whole blog. It's more a one-time visit game, sure, if they like it, others will follow as you run up in their ranking system.
Do you promote your blog posts in Twitter automatically with Twitterfeed... gives you usually a few readers if the title is attractive and keyword-rich.
I'll read that now.
Honestly, I get 100+ visitors a day to various pages that have become popular on Stumble. And that's been happening for over a year now...
Twitter? Don't make me laugh.
