Goodbye FBI, Animals & Church Jokes
Tonight I axed all of my minor joke blogs. The FBI is watching you, Cute animal jokes & Church jokes went in a fit of deletion. I'm sure some force sensitive person felt the screams of the posts as they were quickly snuffed out.
Why? Because I found it a pain to devote any time to them. Sure they were nice as additional landing pages for people to drop their EntreCards on, but I found myself logging in and out TOO much to approve ads and I always had the nagging feeling in the back of my mind that I was neglecting them.
So I took all three blogs out behind the digital barn and put them down. Also I took myself of the Fingerprinting Japan blog as I hadn't contributed to it for a while.
Hopefully this reduction in distractions will give me more time & energy to focus on my core blogs and produce quality content that keeps YOU coming back for more.
But I don't want to leave it at that, I'd love to hear your comments about running additional blogs. Can you manage it and give enough time and energy to make them all flourish, or did you find that like me they were standing still through lack of attention?

Whenever I want to abandon a blog I fill it with ads as much as I can, so many ads that it actually looks a bit spammy. Then I just leave it. Strange thing i notice then is they make small amounts of money and I dont have to do anything.
esvl has an interesting idea.
I have 3 blogs. I try to update my "personal" one [http://tokyo-tom.blogspot.com] and my daily photo ones [http://dailyjapanphotoblog.blogspot.com] everyday. (I guess not updating everyday for a daily photo blog would defeat the point.) My third one [http://tomsartgallery.blogspot.com]
was made to be a place where I can display things I've made. I am updating a lot less than I should on that one.
